Last Na 'To

The past few months have kept me busy with a number of blogging events, leaving me to rummage through my shoe collection in search of something to wear.

It was a fashion crisis of epic proportions.

I've been wanting to wear one specific pair of shoes that I don’t even own. Pathetic, right?

But here’s the kicker—it gets even more ridiculously pathetic, eye-roll-worthy when you find out that the shoes I wanted look almost identical to half the boots I already own. πŸ˜…

You see, I need the Dr. Martens Sinclair Platform Boots in my life. Why? Because they look cute. And they can be worn two ways: zipped for when I’m feeling chic and polished, and laced up for when I’m feeling rebellious. Obviously, they're a must-have.
Sad that this is not easily available here or on Zalora.

I mean, who doesn’t want a pair of boots that is bold, edgy, and could probably double as a weapon during a zombie apocalypse? I can wear a puffy princess dress and still look badass when I have these on. Although I could say the same about every pair of Dr. Martens I have. Plus, the platform gives me that extra attitude, like I’m about to stomp on the faces of those who blatantly ridicule other people’s appearances when they themselves are kalait-lait

So why am I writing this?

Partly to gloat.

But mostly because I like challenges. This is why I love to DIY, This is why I write. It is also why I love Dr. Martens. You see, much like the challenges of doing things myself and the self-inflicted pain I signed up for by writing, these boots bring some painful moments (especially financial ones πŸ˜‚). But once I've tamed them, these beasts can help me overthrow the reign of second-guessing myself.

I already have 11 pairs of Dr. Martens, and I honestly have no idea how many more pairs could possibly be necessary for the survival of my sanity. Haha. But I like to convince myself that once I get my dream Docs, I'll stop.

But who am I kidding?

I’m pretty sure I’m losing points in heaven for every lie I tell myself, 'last na ‘to.' But hey, at least I’ll be stylish if I end up in hell, right? But then, even the devil would probably throw me out because, sure as hell, my boots and I are too cool for the underworld. 😎

So saan ako pupulutin? Send help boots please!
