Unplugging at Tengoku Japanese House

Davao City — Ever thought of trading the hustle and bustle city life for a day or two of unplugging without having to go too far? There’s no bad time for a relaxing escape to the Tengoku Japanese House. Situated not too far away from Eden Nature Park, this charming two-bedroom Japanese-inspired house calls for guests to unplug, reconnect with nature, and rediscover peace and quiet.

The boardwalk, that added a nice touch to the place by the way, leads to the main house where you will be greeted with an open dining area. Here, you can dine in a traditional Japanese way.

The house also has a roof deck where you can play games with your friends and families, dine, meditate, or just lounge around while giving you a sweeping view of the nature and a bit of the city.

Lucky if you get clear skies but even when it's foggy, it's beautiful nonetheless.
Always be careful when taking photos.

The main house's balcony is a great place for relaxation as well. You can read, reflect, or simply enjoy a hot cup of coffee on a cold morning. Such moments certainly make you appreciate life's simple pleasures.

Inside the main house, you will find stairs leading to a bedroom that's good for 6 people. Since the bedroom is equipped with tatami mats and futon beds, it is a must that we leave all footwear outside.

Tengoku Japanese House is perfect for a secluded family or barkada getaway, and can be romantic for couples as well. It doesn't have a lot of amenities, such as a wifi, TV, and cellular signal may be weak. But you can dive into a good book, play board games, or simply enjoy the little pleasures nature can offer—which is what unplugging is really all about.
