Life Lately Vol. 5

Jan and I cried the other night.

But that's because of a freakin onion that stings more than any of the hundreds of onions I've cut in my entire life. I have never been terrorized by anything, not even by my mom who recounted those embarrassing moments during my teen years in my wedding, until this one.

"I am so blogging this," I laughed while I stupidly wiped away the tears with the same hands I used to slice the onions. Gawd, that hurt terribly.

"Yeah. Why aren't you blogging about sh*t like this anymore?" the husband asked.

Well, I would gladly write about whatever shenanigans that went down but there is nothing to write. Or maybe, a better way to put it is that, laziness paired with a sore lack of creativity, proved detrimental to this supposedly interesting blog. Or at least, that's what I was aiming for. This blog used to be a bit entertaining despite my stories being mundane, nonsensical and all. Not to mention, my posts came with a doodle. Maeffort ako noon.

"Malingaw kog basa sa imong blog (I had fun reading your blog)."

I get that all the time. Before. Like ages ago. But my creative juices have ran out. I don't know why, but it did. I know it's a silly thing to say because I have never been that creative.

Now that I am incapable of spicing this blog with a bit of fun, I can only tell you what I've been up to the past two months by showing you photos (in no particular order because I honestly do not remember when these exactly happened):

1. Celebrated world doughnut day with Krispy Kreme.

Sa dinami-daming doughnut na binigay nila sa akin, di pa rin ako tumataba. Yaaay? Haha.
Have you gotten your OG card already?
2. Got invited by Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps to be the first one to taste their new Spicy Chicken Soup and Kluang Seafood Medley.

"Lahat ng babae [na blogger] nandoon sa Marco Polo nag Ever Bilena event, tapos ikaw nandito," a fellow blogger (Gem of pagesflipper.com) remarked. Well, simple lang ang sagot. Hindi ako mabubusog sa makeup. And oh, since Josef (davaogeekhub.com) is allergic to crustaceans I had the entire serving of the seafood medley myself!
I'm allergic as well. But hell. All mine!
3. Got invited by ASUSPRO for their Partners' Social's Night at Dusit Thani where they launched their newest products that are perfectly designed for professionals.

4. Pulled off another acquaintance party for the Davao Bloggers. This year, our theme was coral.

The officers.
5. Got invited at Seagate's Product Launch at Seda Hotel.

6. Volunteered for WordCamp Davao by WordPress. Long day but all worth it.
The blogger volunteers.
Delegates and volunteers
7. Attended a styling event by Uniqlo and met Pia Wurtzbach. Gosh, ang liit ng mukha nya at walang ka pore-pore.

Since I wasn't able to take a photo of my outfit that day, here it is. Sinemplehan ko lang. Chos!

8. Improved my financial literacy with First Metro Securities. If you want to know more about stock market, mutual funds, or how to become savvy about money, follow First Metro Securities on Facebook. They conduct seminars and talks to help you start your journey on your way to financial freedom for FREE!

9. And just last night, I was invited by JBL for their presscon at Marco Polo for their incoming roadshow in Davao.
Kunwari chix.
That's it, pancit!

The past few months have been pretty jam-packed. And I would like to take this opportunity to thank Davao Bloggers Society, and all the brands and agencies for always believing in small-time bloggers like me and for breathing air to my what-would've-been-dead social life. THANK YOU SO MUCH! :)

There's a lot of things to look forward to, but until then, I'm gathering the required energy to keep me up in writing blogs that I should have written ages ago.
