Since Christmas is drawing nearer and nearer and, truth be told, getting more commercialized than ever, and people are in the subject of making wishlists... magpapahuli ba naman ako? I'm making a list, and checking it twice, gotta find out if I missed anything nice. Will Santa Claus be coming to town? Haha.
Anyway, here's my wishlist (ordered according to level of desire with 1 being the highest):
1. Journal/Planner
I would be thrilled to have an Alunsina Handbound Journal/Planner. Nothing more. Nothing less. Nothing else. I would like to keep a journal again next year. The blog is for public consumption, while this will serve as a diary, a sketchpad, and a scrapbook on-the-go where I can write down my deepest and darkest(?!) thoughts. Haha. A nice pen to go with that would also be great.
2. Stupid is Forever by Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago
Lately, I haven't been aware on what's happening in politics. Fact 1, I don't watch TV. Believe it or not, I really don't. Fact 2, I'm fed up seeing and reading the same old shit when it comes to politics. But despite all those political comedy and drama served in cold and stale dish, I would still have to appetite to read one, especially when coming from one of the public figures that I admire the most. This one takes the cake.
3. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
I had one before. Lent this to somebody and it was never returned. I would love to have one again. Used or brand new, it doesn't matter. As long as it is still readable with no highlights or unwanted marks, and pages still intact. I want to see all seven books together again. And oh, hardcover, with dust jacket, and in this particular edition please:
Is that too much to ask? Haha.
4. Swiss Army Knife
I've always wanted one. I had a small one back in college and I find it practical and useful. And this could come handy in case of any assault or emergency. Okay, just to make it clear, I don't see myself using this as a weapon. I am not a menace. I am a responsible owner. My dad taught me well about that. He used to carry one before and I've seen its usefulness in a lot of situations. When we get broken down the road, when we're at the beach, or when he simply wants me to pull his grey hairs with the tweezers that come with it. And oh, Victorinox please.
5. Hunger Games (1st Book)
Here's another case of lent-but-never-returned-book. I had a complete set before until someone borrowed the first book and refuses to return it (even when pestered a number of times). Allow me to rant: He doesn't know the value of hard-earned money, let alone the value of that book. Pffft! Keep calm, Sarah. You can get another one, okay?
Well, that doesn't mean I'll stop lending books. I still want someone to enjoy reading books as much as I did. Of course, I would be more careful this time to lend only to those who actually love to read and know how to take care of books. Or maybe not. This has been traumatic.
6. GoPro Hero4 Silver
This is not actually for me but for my mom who has been traveling a lot. She also mentioned she wants one. So... hmmm... Maybe, just maybe, I can buy her one that I can also borrow anytime I want, right? Hahaha :)
That's it, pansit!
I'm not expecting to have all of these this Christmas. I'm not expecting anything at all. Charaught! But I will definitely get at least one of these for myself. And if any of these gets delivered freely right at my feet, I would forever be grateful and I'll never scratch you out of my cool people list. Haha. ;)
How about you? What would you like to have this Christmas? Christmas is near. Everyone, let's have a good cheer!
